2023-Curernt: Associate Professor (Independent PI), Department of Life Science and Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology. 2015-2023: Assistant Professor (Dr. Tetsuji Kakutani’s Lab) the University of Tokyo. 2011-2015: Post-doctoral fellows (Dr. Tetsuji Kakutani’s Lab) the National Institute of Genetics. 2003-2005: Staff Research Associate (Dr. Michael Grunstein’s Lab) in UCLA (USA), where I met epigenetics.
Favorite things: Tasty foods. Hot springs.
I am interested in the mechanism of plant epigenetics, and also trying to establish an epigenome editing technology.
